Building a Career in Cybersecurity: Where to Start in India
Published 16 February 2026 · 6 min read · cybersecurity · networking
Demand is real, and so is the entry gap
Almost every company now depends on remote access, cloud services and connected devices, which means more attack surface and a genuine shortage of people who can defend it. The difficulty for newcomers is that the field looks enormous from the outside.
Build a foundation in networking first
Security without networking is memorised commands. Our CCNA course in Tenkasi covers routing, switching and IP services, which makes every later security topic easier to understand.
Then move into offensive and defensive security
- Ethical hacking teaches you to attack systems legally so you understand how defenders think.
- Cyber security covers threat analysis, monitoring and incident response.
- Network security focuses on firewalls, protocols and intrusion detection.
What employers actually screen for
Certifications get your resume read. Practical lab work gets you hired. In our courses you work on deliberately vulnerable environments, because interviewers ask about what you did, not just what you studied.
